I painted these Holly Hocks en plein air in a friend's garden.  You would never know that there were trucks and cars whizzing by on a busy highway just a few feet from where I was standing.  I have often thought it would be interesting to play the sounds  an artist hears while painting at the gallery while the work is on display.
